Week 35 of pregnancy with baby Clara. She's got the hiccups again. I'm craving watermelon, strawberries, green olives, Pulcinella's pizza, and peach blueberry concrete mixers from Culver's.

Vi's first day at Rivendell

Today was a big milestone.  Vi's first day at Rivendell preschool.  She was so brave and excited to go to big kid school.  She was very brave and didn't cry or get upset at all when mommy left her there for the first time.  Unfortunately, the same could not be said for mommy.  :)

Funny things our 3 year old said

Scott: Please be gentle with the kitty.
Vi: Well, I'm just trying to put her in this box.
Scott: I don't really think she'll fit in there. Vi: *ominously* Oh, she'll fit!

J: Who do you want to sing tonight, mommy or daddy?
Vi: Mommy. When mommy is home, I always want mommy to sing. Only when you're not here daddy can sing.
Scott: Well call me chopped liver.
Vi: OK chopped liver!
*everyone cracks up*

Sometimes Violette makes us giggle with her ridiculous-for-a-three-year-old vocabulary. Tonight when asked what she would like for a snack, she said:  "I would like some yogurt with apples. Would that be a possibility?"

A little update

Boy, have we let this slide a bit, or what?

Just got back from my parents house for Thanksgiving. Had a fantastic time. Going out there reminds me of visiting my grandparents when I was little, and Violette loves her cousins to a fanatical degree.

Also just finished transitioning from iOS to Android. Protip: turn off iMessage on the iPhone before swapping sims. Thus far, I've been very happy with the Nexus 4, though the issues we had ordering the phones, plus some other issues with the Google Play store, have kept it from being completely smooth.

Hope everyone has had a fantastic holiday. It's going to be a busy couple of weeks. I'll try to take more pictures of Violette, and get them posted.

Oh, and have I mentioned we're expecting again? Janie made it Facebook official recently, but just in case.
